If you are 50+ and live in Bromsgrove, Redditch or Wyre Forest, then Age UK BRWF is here to help! Our aim as a charity is to make North Worcestershire a better place for people to grow older, delivering high quality local services and support for the over fifties, promoting independence and wellbeing.  Core to the charity is it free and confidential Information and Advice service with our trained advisors offering help and support on a range of topics ( including social care, benefits and pensions advice, staying safe, warm and independent at home, as well as support for carers).  Our other services include a Wheel Chair Loan Service, our At Home Service ( which focuses on supporting people to remain independent in their own homes with our team of Home Workers, Gardeners and Handypersons), Community Foot Care Service, our Befriending service along with a variety of Activities and Groups including Amphlett Hall Computer Clubs, Bromsgrove Men in Sheds, Move More exercise classes, Redditch Activities (including Keep Fit, Art, Bowls and Tai Chi classes) and the Tulip Tree Friendship Group in Kidderminster.  As a charity we offer a range of different volunteering opportunities plus we also have a network of charity shops across North Worcestershire which are important hubs for the communities which they support.

Better Housing Better Health
Better Housing Better Health (BHBH) is a not-for-profit service run by the National Energy Foundation, working to help residents living in or at risk of living in fuel poverty to access advice and support.  In a preventative approach to health and wellbeing the free to use helpline provides residents with a single point of contact for advice, grants and other local services in order to help improve the energy efficiency of their property to help keep them warm and well at home. Residents who call the helpline can have their needs assessed over the phone and, where eligible, can be referred for: free impartial advice; energy bill discounts; grants and funding for energy efficiency measures such as insulation or new heating systems and access to other support services
