876 - Introduction to Life Writing

Description: 
Everyone has a story to tell.  This course introduces you to the art of life writing - from memoir and biography to creative non-fiction.  You'll explore writing techniques such as narrative hooks, point of view, and vivid descriptions to help bring memories and real-life experiences to life on the page.
With readings from published authors and guided writing exercises, you'll find your voice in a supportive, friendly environment that encourages personal reflection and creativity.

Most of our course fees are subsidised by the Department for Education (DfE). They require us to collect information from learners to monitor how we use the funding they give us. After booking, you will need to provide extra enrolment data. We only collect necessary information and follow our privacy notice. Without this information, we may not be able to offer you a place. Your cooperation helps us to offer subsidised learning throughout Worcestershire.
Funding Eligibility and Course Prices
Course Fee: £35.00
You will be able to join this course for £10.00, if you meet one of the following criteria:
  • I am unemployed AND I receive benefits payments from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP / Job Centre Plus).
  • I am employed or self-employed and earn less than £25,750 per year
  • I am retired and I am receive less than £25,750 per year.
