Reconnect with the natural world through creative exploration in this hands-on series of art workshops. Using a variety of artistic techniques, we will explore the structure, texture, and beauty of foraged plants. From the wild hedgerows we pass by every day to the familiar flowers of our own gardens. These sessions will encourage you to slow down, observe closely, and reflect nature's details through art. Each session is designed to deepen your appreciation of nature and introduce you to new materials and processes, which will include; Layered printmaking using image transfer techniques on gelli plates, printing onto a range of surfaces including paper and wood. Creating detailed impressions in clay using foraged botanical materials and developing your piece further by casting in plaster to reveal a textured, high-relief artwork. Designing and carving a multi-layered, nature-inspired lino print.
