Description: 

This ESOL - Preparing for Functional Skills English Entry 1 course is suitable for Beginners (A1 on the European framework level). It is designed to help learners develop essential English skills for everyday communication, work, and study. 
Please note that this course is a preparatory step and does not itself lead to the Entry 1 qualification. Its main goal is to equip you with the foundational skills and confidence needed to progress to the ESOL Functional Skills Entry- Level 1 qualification course. If you are looking to improve your reading, writing, speaking and listening, this course provides a solid foundation in Entry-Level Functional Skills English, ensuring you gain practical language abilities for real-life situations. Throughout this ten–week course, you will:
-    Develop basic reading skills to understand simple texts, signs, and everyday information.
-    Improve writing abilities to produce basic sentences and fill out simple forms or documents.
-    Enhance speaking skills to communicate basic ideas and participate in simple conversations.
-    Strengthen listening skills to understand spoken English in familiar contexts.
-    Build confidence in using everyday English for practical purposes such as shopping, traveling, and social interactions.

By the end of the course, you will feel more confident using English in everyday situations and be well-prepared for further studies or workplace communication.  There will be an opportunity for you to progress to a Functional Skills Entry 1 qualification course.
