This short course teaches you essential digital skills you need in finding and applying for your ideal job. It is also suitable for those looking to enhance their computer proficiency for simple tasks such as booking a holiday or shopping online. The sessions are delivered in small, friendly groups by our supportive and experienced tutors.
During the course, you will learn about online safety, using email, basic computer functions, internet searches, and keyboard skills. To apply for this course, you should already be familiar with basic computer operations, such as turning on the computer, navigating the keyboard and using a mouse.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Successfully turn on and log in to a computer
- Use icons and menus to open and use applications
- Navigate to and use a web page safely
- Access and complete online forms
- Send and receive emails and use the attachment function
- Use Word or similar to create a CV or cover letter
Additional Information: Most of our courses are subsidised by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
