This practical course is designed to help you build the digital skills needed for today’s workplace. You’ll gain the confidence to use a range of devices and tools to complete everyday work tasks efficiently and safely. You’ll learn how to communicate professionally using email, messaging apps and online platforms, as well as how to create, edit and format documents and basic spreadsheets and share them with others. You’ll learn how to use online resources to find and manage information and complete digital records and forms. In addition, you’ll learn how to stay safe and responsible online by keeping your personal information, devices and accounts secure. Whether you’re searching for employment, starting a new job or looking to improve your current skills, this course will help you become more efficient and confident in a digital work environment.
After completing this course, you’ll be able to progress onto the ‘Microsoft Office Skills’ course, where you can continue building your digital confidence.
A laptop will be provided for you to use during the lessons, no need to bring your own device.
**Entry requirements: You should already have basic computer skills or have completed our ‘Essential Digital Skills for Life’ course.
