501 - Essential Digital Skills Qualification Entry 3

Description: 

This course has a unique approach to empowering you with new computer skills to enable you to find those bargains, book that holiday, apply for that job, impress your family and friends with your computer knowledge and stay safe online.  The emphasis for the Entry 3 qualification is on skills for life, with a secondary focus on skills for work.

Each session will build on your existing skills, to enable you to create documents, find and retrieve information, search the internet and send, receive and reply to emails. You will learn in a warm and friendly environment with the support of a course tutor.

  • Using devices and handling information
  • Creating and editing
  • Communicating
  • Transacting
  • Being safe and responsible online.

Access to the internet at home and the use of a computer, laptop or tablet is needed this will allow you to practise at home.

Additional Information: 

Most of our courses are subsidised by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA). They require us to collect information from learners to monitor how we use the funding the give us. After booking, you will need to provide extra enrolment data. We only collect necessary information and follow our privacy notice. Without this information, we may not be able to offer you a place. Your cooperation helps us to offer subsidised learning throughout Worcestershire.

Funding Eligibility and Course Prices
Course Fee: £150.00
You will be able to join this course for Free/No charge, if you meet one of the following criteria:
  • I am unemployed AND I can show evidence of Job Seeker's Allowance (JSA), Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) or Universal Credit (UC single - income under £892  per month or UC joint - income under £1437 per month)
  • I am unemployed, but I am not claiming any benefits and cannot provide a UC statement. I need to speak to someone about my eligibility for this course.
  • I believe that my skills in IT are below Level 1. I wish to be assessed to see if this concession criteria applies to me.
  • I am employed or self-employed and I earn below £25,000 annual gross salary. I can show a wage slip, contract or Universal Credit statement showing this.
