If you need to test your maths abilities before attempting the qualification or if you simply want to improve your maths skills, then this course is for you. As well as preparing you for the Functional Skills course, the course will also enable you to utilise maths skills used in everyday life. You will advance your range of mathematical skills and learn the techniques needed in order to solve problems in maths, covering a range of topics such as fraction, decimals, percentages, rounding, estimation and others.
After completing the course, you can progress to a Functional Skills qualification in September or other maths qualification where is appropriate you’ll be able to discuss this with the tutor.
Additional Information: You will be required to undertake an initial BKSB assessment prior to joining the course.
