Preparing for Functional Skills Maths course will help you to develop essential maths skills for everyday life, work and study. If you need to test your maths abilities before attempting a qualification or if you simply want to improve your maths skills, then this course is for you. You will advance your range of mathematical skills and learn the strategies needed in order to solve problems in maths, covering a range of topics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, rounding, estimation and others.
After completing the course, your tutor will advise you on progressing to a City & Guilds Functional Skills maths qualification or another course.
Additional Information: You will be required to undertake BKSB online initial and diagnostic assessments prior to joining the course. A tutor or other member of staff will call you to discuss your suitability for this course or advise you on a more suitable option.
