Description: 

This session will provide governors with a practical understanding of the latest Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and its implications for school governance.

During this session we will explore:

  • The role of governors in supporting and challenging school leaders effectively.
  • What effective governance looks like in the context of Ofsted expectations.
  • The key principles and priorities underpinning the new Ofsted framework.
  • What will be inspected, how judgements are formed and what evidence inspectors will look for

By the end of the session, governors will feel confident about their roles and responsibilities during inspections and how to align their strategic oversight with the framework’s evaluation areas.
