This session will provide an understanding of financial management in schools.
It is recommended that all new finance governors attend.
The course will include links to the 'Schools Financial Value Standard' (SFVS), overview of School Funding, roles and responsibilities of Governors and School Staff, financial planning and budget setting, budget monitoring and reporting, Consistent Financial Reporting (CFR) and Benchmarking, value for money (purchasing & resources), and processes and Controls (audits, systems, inventories etc.).
