Description: 
A specific course for NEW Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) and Deputy DSL’s to support them in understanding their role and responsibilities within School.

Delegates on completion of this course would need to progress onto the Full day School Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training course.

Both parts - Introduction to the Role of the Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) and the School Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) Training (course code 10591) - will complete your full training to be a DSL or Deputy DSL. 

Costs from September 2025 to July 2026
  •  Free to schools who have purchased the Education Safeguarding Support SLA for 25/26
  •  If you have not purchased the Safeguarding SLA 25/26 then this course will be charged at £186 + VAT
