This course is aimed at people whom work with children aged 18 and under.
This course also meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
Learning Outcomes:
• Identify emergency situations and carry out appropriate actions including summonsing emergency services
• Demonstrate CPR on infants and children
• Describe how to clear obstructed airways in infants, children and adults
• Explain how to control severe bleeding
• Identify a range of childhood illnesses and deal with appropriately
• Explain how to deal with burns and scolds
• State the requirements of a first aid kit
• Describe how to report incidents and accidents in line with local policy guidelines
