8060: What is Early Help

Overview:
This is the First of 4 sessions to update your understanding of Early Help in Worcestershire.  This event will focus on what is Early Help. The other sessions will explore: Completing an early help assessment; Holding a team around the family meeting; Creatively gathering the voice of the child
These sessions are for Police Officers, Probation, Housing officers, Designated Safeguarding Leads, School/College Head teachers, Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Senco's, Health Visitors, Midwives, Paediatric Nurses, School Nurses, GP's, Social Prescribers, Young Carers, Early Years staff, Youth Workers and other staff who work with children and families including voluntary services.  (this is not an exhaustive list, just to illustrate who the session is aimed at)
 
The session will include:
• Speakers from Education, Health and Police - each will explore what Early Help is to them, their organisation and how they contribute to supporting children and families at the earliest opportunity

By the end of the session delegates will be able to:
• Understand and describe what Early Help is
• Understanding the range of Early Help agencies there are to support children and families
