7807: Management of Allegations

Workshop on the management of allegations against professionals and volunteers working with children and young people in a position of trust. 
Course outline
This course will provide information which will help you to better understand the Management of Allegations processes, the role of the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO), and the role of the multi-agency network.  It will help give you details on the legislation, procedures and processes; ensure you know what to do if there is an allegation against a professional; and better understand your role as professionals working in regulated activity.

The course objectives include how to Identify children and young people who are suffering or likely to suffer significant harm and take action with the aim of making sure they are kept safe.

Learning Outcomes:
• To consider the context of allegations made against professionals and volunteers
• To increase understanding of Legislative requirements and Government guidance
• To be aware of procedures to follow when an allegation is made
• To provide participants with an opportunity to consider current practice in their own organisation and what changes may need to be made
