Employees that have been identified by their managers as needing to operate as fire wardens for their building. The alphanumerical code at the end of the course title is for WCC admin purposes only.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
• Identify the roles and responsibilities of a fire warden
• Explain the term "means of escape"
• State the policies and emergency plans relating to fire safety
• Describe reporting procedures on all fire safety matters
• Demonstrate how to assist in the safe evacuation of a building
• Perform a roll call and liaise with management, staff and the fire service
• Show how to select and operate fire-fighting equipment efficiently and safely
This course may provide some underpinning knowledge for units SHC24, HSC027, HSC37 within the diploma in Health and Social Care.
